Hi guys!

I've been growing my mangroves for about 10 months already. One in freshwater (small plastic pot) and the other one was in a saltwater system that i just sold a few days ago. Now, I'm thinking of making a tank just for them, I got inspired by Giga's amazing mangrove forest.

Yes, around 30 gallons. Here's a pic of my mangroves when it was connected to my sps system.

Mangroves and seagrass :)
I still have a pair of clowns that keeps laying eggs every 12 days, so i might add a rbta in the future.

Wow, I really like your dedicated mangrove tank. I had a very similar idea to connect one to my sps system. Looking forward to following along.

I need your comments here :)

Lighting: I will use AI hydra 26, Any suggestions on the lighting program?

Substrates: Miracle mud and 3" sand, I will use the same mangrove container, but cut them 1 inch lower to meet the 3" DSB. I will not attempt to remove the mangroves from the container, I already lost 2 pots of mangroves by removing them from the containers a few months ago.

Acclimation: I will be transferring my old saltwater to this tank with new substrate. Also, I am slowly acclimating my freshwater mangrove to saltwater by adding saltwater every other day.

I'm using a Hydra 26 with 50% white, 75% Blues, 25% red, green and UV. What's the reason of the red spots on the leaves?

Yes, check out the pair of leaves on the left side of the pic.
After transferring the mangroves I lost 10 leaves but now they are doing great aside from the reddish brown spots.
