I bought an aussie acan from mr coral and it was suppose to be green/blue and the inside red.

Well when it puffs up in my tank it is orange and red on the inside.

The pics they took of me to see it is taken under a 250w mh 14k phoenix bulb and mine is under the 70w MH aquapod bulb.

I know it is the same coral because the cut out is the same.

The other 2 aussie acans I got from him are the color they are suppose to be so Im looking for some answers.

Yes its possible, especially since you are running only a 70 watt. The aussie in my avatar will lose the green center if lighting is insufficient.

Good luck.

seriously different color spectrum lights will make a coral look different. I have zoos in my tank that look yellow under my 14K but they look a dull green at the LFS under PCs. like wise the same LFS had some aussie acans under 20K MH and under my 14K MH they dont look as nice. Still nice, but not as nice.

It was just a little strange since the first 2 I got from him a month earlier were the same as the pic.

I still like it a lot, but I figured it had to be lighting or something.

Well the acan was on the bottom of the tank and the light hitting him directly.

I turned it on the side and put a little shade on him and the colors from the pic finally show through.

So it is blue with red in the middle instead of orange.
