Do Green Star Polyps grow in the Caribbean?

I was wondering if there are Green Star Polyps in the Caribbean and if so where do they grow? What type of environment do they live in? I want to go on a scuba diving and I would love to see Green Star Polyps, especially a large patch of them because I think they are a beautiful coral.

GSP is from the Pacific. Closest you'll find in the caribbean is briareum aka corky sea finger which are similar but lack the green coloration.

Thanks. I know everyone hates GPS but I like them because they flow in the current and I like the color green. I am curious where they grow in the Pacific. I went to Indonesia and never saw them but I saw a lot of other cool soft corals.

The places i see them the water varies from as low as 66f (19c) in winter and up to to 93f (34c) summer.

(edit) Also can be found intertidal so can bake in the sun for a few hours.

I'm with you on the love of GSP... I have two different color variations (Lime Green, and neon green) I'm hoping to over take my rocks... :3

6-7 meters al the way to 20m

I would love to there but I already had my trip of a lifetime to Indonesia so I think I am stuck with the Caribbean because plane tickets to place accross the world are too expensive. Why does the Indopacific have so many of the beautiful corals? It's not fair.

Try out the Mesoamerican reef. Biggest reef in the western hemisphere. 700 miles long.
