It depends on how tall is your tank and on what kind of clam you want to keep. Crocea and maxima needs more light than the other...

as pixiecath said it depends on the tank depth and species. your sig say you have a 46 bow front, IIRC they are pretty deep so you would have to keep one pretty high in the tank
