this is 100% how it leveled with the tank on it too, but since im replacing the tank that was on it i want to know if this is a problem.

since it leans back it makes it very hard to shim between the wall and it.

how big is that level vs the length your using it on?

you need to check all 4 sides and a few places from front to back as well... I also check from front right to back left and back and front left to back right..

sorry,

the one on the front is 48" on a 72" run. The side one is running front to back its a 24" level on a 24" run.

they are about the same on sides and on front and back. So it looks like it have a very slight back right leaning stand/foor

from your description I think you would be fine. If it was my tank I would not sweat it. Good luck just my 2 cents.

then you are very close to being level and it appears to not be twisted... TWISTED is what will cause stress on the tank more so then the whole tank leaning to one side or front to back...

I would shim it, it's easy to do.

looks like if i had to shim anything it looks like the back left could be raised 1/8th of an inch and it would all be level. how would i go about doing that and not tweak the entire thing or since its such a long run how far along the run do i shim it? do i just put a ~1/8th shim under that corner and call it good or do i need to run a ton of shims lowering it down to 1/8th -> 0

if you do shim it.. I Would not..

you need to to do 1/8 then 1/16 then 1/32 shim from corner to say mid stand along that edge.. and then a 1/32 shim half way point on the side..

Please level it. It won't look good and their could be a risk factor.

you now we are talking about 1/8 at one corner on a 6 foot length right..
If he has a cheap level. Which he does its likely out that much.. humm

ok good point if its out 1/8 wrong direction then he would be 1/4 inch out. another reason not to mess with it..

or is this a reason to because the 1/8 out could make it actually right..

This is why i say its good. .

but if he borrows one of my levels well that could change my opinion..

wish i had good levels, but i just spent all my money on other tools and bought the irwin cheap ali ones. But most my hand tools are snapon :spin2:

so every corner looks really close to level its just if i lift the level on that back left corner to make it even its about 1/8th maybe a tick less off.

Yes i think you are just fine.
I was just trying to make a point.. Irwin is not a Bad level if you are Careful with them and have checked to verify they are true...

I use stabula levels but i use mine EVERY DAY.. So i only buy the best. Most of my power tools are from Ridgid because i am hard on things. Klein tools and Ridgid knows my company and me by name as i get so many repaired Free.

But i have 9 Carpenters that work for me.. GIGGLES..
