Do lions/large wrasse go after emerald crabs?

I was considering changing back to fish only aggressive --but I have alot of red/green mithrax crabs, several marshall island electric and orange crabs, wondered if fishes like pterois volitans or panthers would try to eat them cuz that would be expensive loss

i had a blacklion for a little and put an emerald crab in the tank --I dont know if it was a territory thing or curiousity, but it went right in front of the crabs face and spread its fins wide and forward and stared it in the eyes while the crab was flared out itself --I threw the crab into another tank and the lion got sick a couple days later, so I never tried again

I have tried feeding my lion live fiddler crabs, he just stares them down for a while. I believe they could eat the crab if they really wanted to.

I have 2 emeralds and about 5 "dwarf" zebra hermits but one especially is the biggest "dwarf" I've ever seen. My lion doesn't seem to care about them since they're not in the water column. Sometimes I'll see it stare at stomatella snails but I think it's just looking. My lion eats live only still. Drop a molly or a shrimp in there and it's history in 5 or 6 seconds.

As far as the wrasse's most definately, hermits and snails as well! I'll have a hermit tucked in his shell, and my Queen Wrasse will just put his nose down, flips the hermit over and starts pipe fitting for food.

Lions dont really eat crabs, they like fish and shrimp way more. Also they usually only eat things movingin the water column. I think they should be ok together........however large wrasses are a different story. Depending on what species you have they can be very docile or very belligerent. Large THallassoma wrasses can be down right evil, and they will eat any crab they can get a hold of. I have a large Red Coris that would eat a crab in a heart beat if it had the chance. Most wrasses have teeth and actively hunt in between rocks for inverts unlike lions.
