Do you make your own food?? Where do you shop??

There is an actual fish market in Winter Park but I forget the location and the name. I'll have to go back there with a cooler sometime I only found it recently on accident :)

If you want fresh fish I go to the source there are a few great markets in Cape Canaveral, but I think I have seen one on Curry Ford near 436. Publix is pretty good usually, most of the time they will try to order you anything you want if you give them a few days notice.

I've done it before but find it easier to buy the premade stuff.

Scallops, shrimps, formula 2, cyclopeeze. garlic, selcon, squid tubes.. give or take whats available and price. My publix guy will usually throw in a freebie or two since I ask for like, 2 scallops and he just givs me this funny look :)

I bought good fresh stuff at Lombardi's.

I went to the one on 436 in Altamonte Springs but I don't think it is open now. There is supposed to be one in Winter Park near 17/92 and 426/Aloma/Orange.

publix for me, couple of shrimp, couple of squid tubes, couple of scallops, mix in some noori, some silversides, whatever else I have available...

This is the recipe that I use.

A buddy of mine made up the file.

I use frozen seafood from Publix; Raw Seafood Mix, Medium Shrimp, Bay Scallops, fresh crushed garlic, get a garlic press and squeeze the cloves yourself, don't use jarred stuff and vitamins. Once processed I hand mix in shredded nori and mysis shrimp as not to chop that up.

LFS bought foods contain a lot of phosphates etc. If you are using them, you might want to thaw some in RO water and test the water. I think you'll be shocked.

You'll also find that making your own, it doesn't take long at all, is much better and cheaper than LFS food whish costs you over $20 per pound!
