Do you monitor your tank through your phone?

I just had a brainy idea/thought.

I am having thoughts about getting a drop cam that will allow me to view my tank at any given time via my phone or computer.
I found this on Amazon, inexpensive, and could possibly be perfect for this application. I'm not sure how well the resolution would be with a camera that has 1280/720p resolution. Like, how far would that have to be from the tank so that I would see a crystal clear picture? Here is the camera I am debating: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019MMRV1M/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A7K6H818001EY

Has anyone or does anyone do this as well? If so, what type of camera do you use and how well does it perform?

Can anyone share their experiences or thoughts?

I use an old android phone I had laying around, installed the IP camera app, port fwd'd it through my router, and put the link in my apex dashboard so I can see if from anywhere.

I did this same thing with the exception my controller is the Archon. It is linked to the webpages on the Archon.

I have a dropcam inside my stand to monitor my sump. I like watching my tank itself, but if something is going to go wrong, it's in my sump.

I have it up in the back corner, there is a plate that is screwed into the ceiling of my stand and it clips into the plate.

sorry for the blurry photo but you get the idea.
