How many people lost fish in qt

Because of illness or not QT right. My first time around with QT I lost an O'clown. That is when I realized that ammonia can rise pretty fast. Have not lost a fish since.

I would like to know how many have lost fish in a qt tank and why

I QT everything now, but at first I had LOTS of trouble getting fish to survive the QT, due to enormous ammonia spikes. I now always add live rock when I QT. If I don't need to treat, then the live rock is fine. I have never needed to treat, but if I do, then I'll deal with the ammonia issue I guess, if I kill off the live rock.

Everything wet gets QT for at least 8 weeks. Fish, coral, snails, and crabs. I use 3 different QT systems one for fish and one for corals.

I am very new to this hobby, but I have QT from the beginning thanks to this site.

Besides the health reasons, it gives me time to learn about the fish, so in the future I can tell when something is wrong and not normal.

I have lost two of fish in QT, a Carpenters Wrasse and a Purple Firefish. IMO it was better there than in my display when it might have taken more fish with it.
