Do You Take LR Out During WC?

How often, if ever are you supposed to take out and clean your LR during water changes?

yep never, a reef is a natural filtration system. It takes care of itself with your help. ie water changes

I've used a PH to blow stuff off the rocks, but never taken the rock out

Thanks, everyone, My tank is FOWLR, did a water change this weekend and just used an extra PH to blow stuff of the rocks.

Or you can always just use everyone's favorite aquarium tool: the turkey baster!

I took mine out the last time (it's only 2 med size rocks. If the rock can be shipped, a couple of minutes in a bucket with discarded water slowly filling it isn't going to do harm. I got alot of extra crap out of there that way. I may not do it again, but it's a newer setup and I wanted to get alot of the gunk out.

Only time I took my rocks out was to try and catch all the fish and get them into quaratine when I had an outbreak. What a PITA!

Mine are small and I only have crabs and snails in there.
