do you think this is an "a" grade?

yeah i know its very subjectable and everyone has their own idea what is "a" grade or ultra a ect. I got this from a new supplier and its the first time I've bought an acan without seeing it in person first. I didn't pay a crazy price but it wasn't indo priced or anything.

I was hoping for more purple but the pink is great. The polyps are smaller only slightly bigger then mircos.

What do you guys think?

I also didn't make the pic look 20k. this is 2 actnics t5t's and 2 10k bulbs.

I'm no expert in rating corals ...but that's a nice pick up for sure. The pink is sweet. And what qualifies for a coral being "A, AA, AAA"?

Its a simple matter of choice, If you like it then its a AAA score.

yeah keep in mind probably cost me $5 a polyp or less.

its hard to say what qualifies what as what grade, for me the more colours on it the better. I was hoping the center was going to be more purple but its still not bad.

Wow that piece was $5 a polyp or less?! That's an insane deal you got for it as far as I'm concerned. I guess people expect only "Rainbow type Acans" to be Grade A or better.

Well $5 cnd is like $5.20 USD

maybe I'll count the polyps today, i bought it as 20+ but it looks more like 40+

I guess the big reason I'm asking is because i'm considering ordering several pieces from this place. They don't take great pictures so its hard to know what you're getting. I live really close to the north americans best acan supplier however these guys are substantially cheaper.

The "A" grade and "ultra" grade are used by the exporter in Australia to justify price differences. I have seen quite a few shipments of these Aussies coming into the States, and I would say that would probably cme in as an A grade. Now, what it gets re-sold as is another matter, as importers / wholesalers/ retailers can and do change this to whatever they want.
Regardless, that is a sweet colony. Nice find!!

yes RR has a nice selection, the best in north america otherwise there wouldn't be so many shops from the us shopping there. every time someone new is there they can't believe their eyes seeing vats full of rainbow / true ultra grade ones.
