I haven't used one in years since I had a F/O tank...probably won't hurt, but I just don't think that it is nessessary on a reef with the higher standard of water quality needed......never had a problem with fish related problems, but if anyone has an opinion pertaining to the effects of one with coral parasites, deceases..etc....maybe I will use one.
