Do zoas eat?

Yes Sir, they do eat. Now don't mistake paly's with zoanthids. Paly's will take down pretty large items thrown at them. My zoanthisd on the other hand usually turn down the delicious brine shrimp, mysid shrimp, and mixed homemade recipe that I give the paly's. Completely honest, the best response from the zoanthids that I've seen yet has come from my cyclops, dried phyto, and roti-rich mix. Don't feed too often, only once a week for me has done absolute wonders. Any more will become a harsh nuisance on your parameters. ;) Once a week I shut my return pump down, and leave one power-head on while I feed them. I leave it like this until morning and it seems to have worked the best for me. Remember, don't feed too often. Have fun man.

No, I'm sorry, what I stated above for the zoanthids is a broadcast feeding through the whole tank. I target feed other corals, but not zoanthids.

thanks. One more question. Can Zoas handle strong light? say somewhere around PAR 500? if not, what will happen?

yes but you MUST acclimate. it takes experimentation too-some zoos like high light and some dont even when acclimated for a long time
