Dobie pad on acrylic tank

Any negative effects? I tried yesterday and it cut my cleaning time by at least half.

Works wonder, I use it on my Teflon pans.

Fine for cleaning diatoms off the glass but useless for coralline IME.

They work great. It makes cleaning acrylic easy.

I had acrylic aquariums for years and used Dobie pads exclusively. They work great if you maintain a regular cleaning regime. If the corraline builds up too heavily, you have to scrape with a credit card or other device.
