Does a Sea Hare have an internal shell?

This is probably a dumb question , but I haven't been able to find an answer. I brought the hare home a week ago, and it has done a wonderful job of roaming about the tank mowing down algae. Today I noticed it laying in the front corner on the sand, apparently dead. A gentle prod and it moved thank goodness. Since then I noticed a shell starting to show on its backside, in the general area where it poops. I'm trying to figure out if this thing managed to eat a pretty good sized shell, which it may be having a hard time passing, or if it has an internal shell that I didn't know about. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, some species, such as Dolabella do.

Yup, and Aplysia. The shell is a lot thicker in Dolabella, though:
