Yes it has a grain because of the shape of the molecules. It should not be an issue though unless you are doing thermoforming. There are also variations in thickness which might be an issue in some situations. I would also reccomend using SciGrip's two part #40 or #42 over their single part adhesives.

I'm pretty sure that cast acrylic absolutely does not have a grain on anything more than the molecular scale. And what the heck is SciGrip? Two-part acrylic cement? Where are you coming up with these recommendations?
molecular scale yes, but nothing to worry about when adoring two pieces together.
I use Weldon 3 for adhering my acrylic together.. mush easier to use then the two part mix!
