my orchid dottybacks look like they get pregnant and then they vanish. i also have cleaner shrimp that have babies, but i have heard that nobody has had any success raising them. want to see what everyone has.

My A. Frenatus (Tomato Clown) lays eggs every two weeks. They hatch overnight and no sign of them in the morning. Food for the tank :)

aaww cute.i heard they're finicky eaters and have to be fed every two hours...so much for nitrates.lol btw sorry for hijack jason.

Orchid dottybacks are aquacultured by ORA so they are fairly easy to raise with the right food. My Banggai cardinals have babies fairly regularly...fun to watch the tiny cardinals swim out of the males mouth. They are a bit easier as they come out large enough to eat newly hatched brine, so you don't have to go they whole rottifer stage. My 30 year old clowns still spawn about every 15 days. I'd love to try to catch one one of the spawns and try to raise them. I've also had numerous male pipefish give birth. The babies look like tiny pieces of thread. Never been able to get them past a couple days, but we will be setting up a live feed station soon to try to raise some.

yeah i finally got to see Marcie's place yesterday and met the 30 year old clowns.btw Marcies's place is awesome and she's very atentive to her guest.thx Marcie i enjoyed meeting you.
