Does anyone like microbubbles

I have a tunze powerhead w/ single controller. The way I have the powerhead set up it sometime creates a whirlpool and capitates; shooting a stream of microbubbles for about 2-4 seconds.... I think it looks cool since its more like what it looks like in the reef when a strong wave comes over the reef. It does it about 1-5x an hour....

Would there be any downfall to shooting the microbubbles??? The water clears up within 1 minute of the capitation....

They can irritate fish gills and I think they can cause corals to strees where the bubbles stick to them. My advice is to wait for someone that knows more than me to give you advice. =)

i know my corals get PlSSED if bubbles get going in my system. If you arent seeing any adverse reactions from your tank's inhabitants, and you really do like the microbubbles, then more power to ya.

I'd probably lower the stream in the water to prevent the whirlpool, but that's just me. :) I don't think you're going to hurt fish with microbubbles, but I too have corals that get irritated when bubbles start landing on them. Also, any extra bubbles of course increase evaporation, which might be good or bad. :)
