This is a photo of one of my three engineer gobies I have had for a while. All three look similar to this. These fish are a bit shy and active 24/7 so it’s hard to get photos of them, but looking at the older photos I do have they seem to have had similar markings to these for a long time. I wanted to post about it incase it was something people knew about that my fish have happened to live with, but can be cured.
