The pump is made by Sicci. It is very quiet and still manages to draw 700 liters of air per hour. Last year's 9010 only drew 650 l/h but Tunze has changed the design of the 9010 to allow more air to be drawn.
How would you recommend I think in terms of the return pump to match the Tunze?
I'm currently running a Rio 2500 (around 750 gph) that I'm going to begin using as a "backup" pump in case of emergencies. I'm thinking of an Eheim 1260 or 1262, but will 900gph be too much flow going through my 20G sump?
Should I go with something less strong (the 1260 is only 635gph) and supplement the flow in the display with powerheads?
I think the 1260 sounds about right for me. My system seems to do very well when the flow is in the 600's.
I'll let you know once I put in the Tunze!!!
