Don't Buy CHeep Sh@# from China

so i though i'd be all smart and get a float switch off ebay for like a buck. well it came in and it was strait from china. AWESOME. So i set up my ATO and its doing great till about 15 mins ago i hear a noise and low and behold my ATO reservoir is empty and the pump is running dry. Well the float switch some how switch polarity and turned the ATO on that or little trolls took the float off and flipped it around. I'm going with china's products suck A@##@. but low and behold my ATO resavior hold just enough water to do this with out spilling over the side.

Wow Vince that sucks. It is a very cool top off system. I'm sure youl'll get it worked out. But on a good note your tank looks really nice. Hope the light bracket works good. Did you get a chance to try it?

No I havn't been able to get out and get the part i need yet.

Turn the float part around. One way is off when it is down and one way is on. Try it!

yes and that is how it was working when it floated it turned off and when it was too low it would turn on. Then buy some AWESOME Chinese ingenuity it decided to switch polarity so that when the float sank it turned off and when it floated, which it was doing at the time of the polarity change, it turned the pump on. So now i have a new switch thanks to nate.
