i have been looking at some old sites i would check out, and i went to zoosrus, it appears to have be hijacked, and i am not sure if there is any virus threat? anyone know what happened?

It got hacked, that's all. I'm not sure if they can get it back.
If it was a retail site, (thank goodness it wasn't) all the credit card info, etc. would be owned by them.

Not stupid....Just bored little computer nerds who are need of a good old-fashioned butt-whoopin'. I'd love to catch somebody who does this sort of thing.....boy, would I have some fun with them.

THAT PLACE SUX ANYWAYS.....THEY HAVE VERY POOR CUS SERVICE AND LIE ON WHAT THEY SELL....I DID ONE ORDER FOR CLOSE TO $300 FOR A BUNCH OF US....THEY SENT US CRAP AND NEVER DID ANYTHING OR EVEN REPLIED ABOUT IT!

SAVE YOUR MONEY......

They probably got highjacked casue they screwed someone else!

actually, this is not done by a 'person' per se. this type of hack is very simple and is run by an automated program. they can run the program and hack 500 sites with the exact same vunerability. whoever administrated that site wasn't keeping up with patches. (and a big fyi, that site was NOT a Windows based server site)

sure, but what i'm saying is that anybody in the range of addresses they're scanning is a target. they just run it and it goes and they may take out ilovepuppies.com

Crued- but doesn't a person have to create and activate this evil little program? What's the difference?

I agree, they probably have this script saved and just waiting for a host to slack of ,and not update the patches and then boom hacked...
