Don't have a clue if this will work

Setting up a 120g main w/2-20g feature tanks, all interconnected.

The guy who designed it intended one of the 20g tanks to be a refugium.

I am thinking I would like to set it up with seahorses and nitrate reducing plants. I don't have a clue as to what kinds of plants would benefit the seahorses and the nitrate removal needs of the larger system. Any idea? Thx

I kinda wanted to do the same with a multitank setup I have, but for now I've put the idea on hold. It seems that seahorses dont do so well in a setup with a protien skimmer. Also most seahorses prefer temps lower than waht you would find in a reef setup. The higher temps tend to bring on disease. These are just some things I've read. It seems they do better in specifically designed setup.

We too were thinking of doing something similar, however, we encountered the problems listed above. In the end, we decided that we didnt have the resources available to maintain a seperate seahorse tank at the time and we set it on the back burner until a later date.
