I know this fish (4 eye butterfly) has lymphocystis with cotton on his fins for about 2 weeks now. He bagan to scratch on top of this and within a few days was very bad off. I was able to catch it and give it a fresh water bath and all seemed fine again and 2 days ago began a little bit of scratching again.. There are no other signs outside that I can tell that this is ICH. The only two other fish I have is a snoflake w/no symptoms and a Niger who is still pretty new w/no signs.
During this lat week I have been going hyposaline and I have just achieved a 1.011 reading and plan on staying right around here.
Opinions on what this may be and how to cure it will be great.
Going fallow is not a good option at this point cause I will need to break the tank down to get all the fish out. 210gal/250lb rock
Has anyone had long term success with hyposalinity? or am I wasting my time
