There are several videos on YT of this tank including this more recent one. Just view userid kyranyca's other videos. Also note under the "About" tab that the description is shown in both English and in German. That should give you a clue, as well.
A quick Google shows that this tank has been featured in an article on Advanced Aquarist, and shows up on several other boards and video sites. A quote from Reefs to Rainforest reveals: "A showpiece in the Dormero Rotes Ross Hotel in the ancient university town of Halle (also known as Halle an der Saale), Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, this is a 660-gallon (2,500-L) reef aquarium. There are three sizable eels in this tank and the hotel says they have not caused any known problems."
Thanks Dave. The alot of flow seems to be coming in via the surface at intervals. i wonder if he is using a sea squirt with the return pipes right above the surface. ? I like the effect however he is doing it.
I watched a few of the vids. There seems to be a concerted effort to show us how pretty the tank is without revealing how it is done. I thought I saw the reflection of some type of powerhead in one but I'm not sure.
