Doser or reactor?

I have a 200 gallon reef system and plan on getting some clams and more sps. Which system do you think would be best to get over the long run. I am looking for the way with the least up keep. I know both systems are going to need mantiance but which would be less?


What would the start up cost be for each way?


I am useing Kalk and self made 2 part atm.

I would get a calcium reactor and kalk reactor. Costs range from $100 to $450, depending on quality, for each but I've found they've probably saved me that in corals.

That is why I am here. I do not know what I need. So lets do our ABCs and please tell me what I need. THanks

OK, start with these articles. Folks are about split evenly between CaCO3/CO2 reactors, limewater (kalkwasser) in various ways, and two part systems, with a lesser portion of experienced reefers using independent calcium and alkalinity additive methods (less optimal, IMO).
