dosing pumps and check valve?

maybe i should reword the question.

does everyone that has a dosing pump use check valves? if so, did you notice a problem before you started using them?

im trying to place an order for some things i need asap, but trying to figure out if i add check valves to the order

I do not know the answer to this, I just brought a used Doser my self, and still haven't got it yet.

By going by the pictures that i have seen, it seems that a least one roller will always be pinching the tubbing.

I do not think, you will need a check valve.
It just a guess on my part.

I've got the aquatronica model which is similar enough to the profilux. Mine will not leak if I remove the hose from the liquid container, which indicates to me that it's got a pretty good seal it. That being said, you should never allow it to sit in a position that it could eventually siphon either your tank water back into your reservoir, nor your entire reservoir into your tank.
