dosing pumps info pls

I cant seem to find a thread or searching on the net for more info on the dosing pumps.

I would like to know the following

1. AFAIK the biggest is a 4 channel setup, could I use 2 x 4 channel dosing pumps on one computer?

2. How reliable are these dosing pumps in terms of measurements. I.e can they dose in ml or is it time controlled?

3. What sort of volumes can these dosing pumps handle per day. Min and Max dosing

thanks in advance

thanks, can these dosing pumps not be controlled with exact measurement, like say 1.5ml. From you're explenation it seems like they are controlled by time ONLY - "1s = appr. 1ml" To be honest the manual dont seem to be helping or am I missing the part where it explains this?

I'm sorry if I sound like I'm repeating myself, but I cannot afford to dose in inaccurate amount or play a guess game when it comes to dosing pumps. Currently I have the grotech dosing pumps which is very accurate, but I'm considering switching over to a computer to control everything as I have too many gatgets all over the place. I am considering the IKS as well, but from what I have seen, prefer the profilux, it's just that the dosing pumps are the most important part in helping me make up my mind

The smallest resolution is 1s. Shorter ON-times don't make sense because the time for starting and stopping the motor must be in a sensemaking relation to the ON-time.

That means: the pumps can be switched on for 1s, 2s, ...
-> assuming a flowrate of 60ml/min -> we have 1ml, 2ml, ...

The other 2 products you mentioned are not more accurate. They also have an internal resolution of 1s.
Because it's simply physically not possible to achieve better resolution with this kind of pumps and motors.
