Dosing Question -

I have been playing around with diy dosing, basically just taking water bottles or funnels and attaching air tubing flow control to the cap. I use this when I want to add buffer to the water and span it over a couple of hours.

Currently I dose ESV 2 part, Tech M Magnesium, and on occasion iodine. (I test for all, and definitely noticed a difference in my xenia with dosing 2 drops of iodine every couple of days)

So my question is - Can I mix these in 16 ounces of RO/DI water and drip it over the course of a couple of hours? Specifically the 2 part b/c PH jumps after adding part one, and I figure it is always better to slow dose as opposed to dropping in.

thx

not sure about iodine, but the others can be diluted no prob.

I have done that with randy's 3 part (cal,alk,mag).

Im not sure its ok to mix the Alk and Calcium together in one container. It might turn the RO/DI water into a snowstorm.

If each part will be mixed in its own 16 oz of water, you will be fine. Its combining them Im not sure about. Take a few drops of each part and mix them together to see what happens. The solution turns white and heats up. Thats why they tell you to dose each part in a high flow area of the tank on the instructions as to make sure the two parts dont combine and fall out of solution.

I could be wrong as Ive never tried it....
