Dosing small tank sps calc and alk usage

I tested my tank and was wondering about this. How much calc and alk do sps corals use. I am using istant ocean and my calcium was a little over 450 i have been using reefcrystal before but am not using instant ocean because my alk form rc has been about 11-12. I switch to io to get that around 9 hopefully and i can dose a small amount of alk daily. I am only planning on having about 3 acros 2-3 inch frags and a decent size monti. I was wondering if i will have to start dosing and how much they will use. I will test the water every couple days and after water change at first but was just wondering.

Only way to find out is to start testing, then dosing and testing preferably daily. You'll figure out with time what your tank will require to keep parameters stable. May take a few weeks or more. I have a 14gal nano loaded with SPS. It was a mixed reef, but the more I do this, the more I like sticks, so I have a ton of frags in there with a few colonies. I dose between 7-10mL of C-Balance daily. I test my alk once or twice a week and adjust my dosing as needed. Ver simple. I try to keep my alk around 8, but my range is between 7-9, and it has been that way for some time now. Only frags I ever lost were rescue frags. I have an assortment of acros, millies, BN, monti, etc, and all are growing and encrusting well. A few acros are starting to throw up branches, sooo exciting.
