Hello all .. so in our soft coral dominate tank some of us keep a few lps OR even a sps ..fragspawn torch duncan .. and so on
What if anything are you all dosing ? CA/ ALK Kalk?

Thanks for your thoughts

It depends on your load, sometimes regular WC's by themselves, are sufficient, sometimes a small amount, to fully saturated kalk between WC's are enough, etc. Keep in mind that just because it's primarily a softie tank, that there aren't other animals that will utilize your Ca and Alk, i.e. coraline algae. Testing is the best way to know for sure.

Antman, you will want to dose. I have a 100% softie and I need to dose every now and then simply because the snails use up alk/cal/mag.

Half of my corals are LPS and half are softies. I dose kalk regularly. But my observation is weekly 10-15% water change is enough because my corals are mainly frags or big frags at most. I think as they grow the need will increase but I believe kalk will be enough for a long time.

My tank is give or take 60G I assume 57g rimless with a 15G sump less sand rock &equipment and I change 15G every other week or so
