Dots on yellow tang

So two concerns with my yellow tang. .
1) he has quite a few black dots over his body (like taking a pencil and dotting).
2) he isn't yellow yellow like most yellow tangs. . I've had him for about 2-3 years and he eats great (brine, mysis, krill, emerald entree, new life spectrum 1mm & .5mm).. He doesn't "seem" stressed so not sure..

Suggestions.. inputs..

Is the not-yellow normal for this one? Some tangs are ultra-pale and/or white in spots. I think the term is 'abberant', and it applies to any fish that have colors and/or patterns far out of the ordinary.
I know there's such a thing as black ich. but I don't see anything in the pictures. I know fish are hard to photograph, but you could offer him a mirror or something to catch his attention and keep him still.

Yeah it is hard to see in the pics took because it's so small, I'll give the mirror a try and post more pictures.. (he loves being in the pic when I'm not taking his pic but the moment I want him he's all over). .

The live fish store sold it as "yellow tang".. I'm hoping then maybe he is this pale version. . Thank you

Did you QT your tang?
The Black dots you see are parasites, not rich, but a different kind of parasite. I yellow tang used to have it (it also infected my rabbitfish, but none others). While the tang was eventually cured from it I honestly don't know what took cared of it, possibly cleaner shrimp.
Personally I think a yellow tang looks pale when stressed and malnourished.

Bucknutz: yes I do

Stevenliu9: I have not moved him to QT because I was hoping for directions from people who might have heard what I'm going through, and will move him. And that's my main question why he is pale and why he's been pale for so long yet thrived and grown so big.
