Ok, so I added this guy to my tank yesterday.

http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=172

He is by far the smallest guy in my tank. The next smallest fish in my tank is my clownfish, who is at least double the Dottyback's size. My concern is that I didn't realize Dottybacks were aggressive fish at all. I just wanted add a little bit more color in my tank, and I knew my tank was getting close to fully stocked, so I wanted something small. Given the fish that I have in my tank (see list below), do I have anything to worry about having a Dottyback in the tank? I know it's only been a day, but so far, I haven't seen any problems.

Anyone with Dottyback experience, I greatly welcome your input. Thanks in advance for your help!

Ya it is. Dottybacks and Psuedochromis' are the same thing, at least as far as I know, and according to Liveaquaria.com.

I know the tank is big enough for him, and I have PLENTY of caves for him. I'm more worried about the aggression I am reading about.

I have a purple psuedochromis in my tank with a yellow tang, 2 clarkies, an angel fish, LMB, large domino damsel, along with an assortment of snails, crabs and shrimp and I don't have any problems with that group. I just can't add anyone else to the bunch.. they always kill it. My clarkies are abnormally aggressive- fricking things will bite you if you try and touch the coral they call home.

Hate to say it but...size doesn't matter with this fish and he's most likely going to be aggressive! The only non aggressive (as far as Dottybacks go) is an Orchid Dottyback. Great fish, a stunning Orchid color and not aggressive at all.

Should I expect him to be aggressive with fish that were already in the tank, or any new comers I may add. In all honesty, I don't plan to add any new fish, so I don't think that will be a problem, but if you guys think he'll cause problems with the guys that have been in there for months already, then he's gotta come out!

I had the blue and yellow dottyback he never messed with my fish but he would nail my cleaner shrimp every now and then.Ive always wanted to get another one cus there so nice looking.but i know ill eventually get more shrimp.Ive heard that the blue and gold are supose to be the most aggresive out of the lot.You should be fine as far as fish go just watch him with your shrimp.I did have the yellow and pink for about month and he never messed with any of my other fish.
