Just wondering if any suppliers will have and Dow-Flake or Mag-Flake at the Frag Swap?

Or who has it in Nashville?

Can't find it here in Evansville.

I just called the Co-op off Eddy lane I got my bag from last year and they no longer have any. They just have rock salt this year. He said they could order it but it would be a pallet full so there would need to be more than one bag needed to justify a order. You could call around to your local stores listed under "Farmers Co-op" in the phone book and see if they have any in stock. They are all individually owned and carry different products he said but should all be able to get it. It may be listed in the computer as calcium chloride so check that route as well. Last year the guy didn't know he had "dowflake" but he had "calcuim chloride" and it was a 50 lb bag of the right stuff, dowflake. Hope this helps your search. Maybe enouph people will need a bag to get a order up and distribute it at the swap. My bag was like $16 or so I think.

I've got a CO-OP near the house that I got some calcium chloride from, but it was from a company called Kemira. I'm afraid to use it. I'll check with them to see if they can get a few bags in, or a pallet. How many would be interested in a 50 pound bag, if I can work it out?

Gary,
I talked to a dow rep. once and he said that some of the calcium chloride from China is a byproduct of the brine for something. And not the same purity as the dow product. (so they say)

Kemira is from Finland. I got on the website and it said they had sold the calcium chloride division to someone else. That made me even more nervous...

Does anyone have a picture of the bag from Dow? I'd like to print it off and take it in with me to show them.
