Dragon eel in Hawaii

Has anyone seen any dragon eels in Hawaii waters?

Can you post pics and tell me what island you where on.

I have been diving serveral times on Kauai but only ran into moray eels at Sheraton Caverns. Sorry, no dragon eels.

I saw one on Oahu. I cant remember what they called the dive site, but it is an old concrete storm drain that runs offshore. I didnt have a camera at the time though

hmmmm, bummer... I've heard that Hawaii was a good place to see them....

I've done at least 20 dives in Hawaii the last few years and I have not seen one yet.

I've been diving around Maui, Lanai and Molokini..... no dragons there that we ran into.

I saw one on Oahu swimming near an octopus at Hanauma Bay

I've seen some snowflake eels so far, but not a dragon yet.

My wife spotted one at the old airport beach on Maui back a couple of years ago. We had been searching every dive hopeing to spot one. Just happened to be on our last night dive of the trip. It made our trip.

Yes, I went diving in Kauai and saw a Dragon Eel

There is an old landing pier on the south side of Kauai that is the spot for many commercial beach dive operations. There are at least 3 dragons that frequent the area. Easily spotted in the daytime too (as easy as it can be to find a dragon).
