Dragon Wrasse will not change sleep cycle

I got a dragon Wrasse a few weeks ago. I keep my house dark during the day with the tank lights off and curtains closed.

I have all of my tank lights (except the refugiums) on timers to go on at 9pm and off at 6am since that is when I am home to feed the fish... The actinic and moon lights go on a half hour before and after the main lights.

I have never had a problem getting any fish to adjust to the new lighting / sleep cycle until I got my Dragon Wrasse who has not waivered by even a minute with his sleep cycle. He puts himself to sleep at 7pm and doesn't wake back up until 10am.

Unfortunately I am not home during these hours for feeding; nor can I enjoy watching him. Does anyone have any advice to get him to change his sleep cycle? I have already tried to slowly change the timing of the lights to 15 minute intervals but he doesn't change his schedule one bit...

I'm in the same boat. I bought one a week ago and it will only come out in the am just before I leave for work. I only run my lights at night. My wife actually saw this thing and wanted it. She is disapointed that she never sees it. I'm concerned that it is not eating. I tried feeding it the pellet food I feed my other fish as well as seaweed in the am. It won't touch any of it. I do also feed my fish misis shrimp every couple of days but, it's always sleeping when I do.

mine at least will eat pellet food so I can use an auto feeder, but this doesn't guarentee anything since I can't actually observe him eating. Also, for yor situation, I'm not sure if you have read anything about them but figured I'd let you knwo a few things I have read. They can and will move/flip rocks over so be careful of your other fish and try to tie as many rocks that you think can injure the other animals in your tank so they don't get hurt.

Also, they are predatory and will eat other smaller fish. the good news is that they ar emuch more resistant to disease than other fish so that's always a plus. This is just what I can remember off the top of my head but I know there is more. Good luck with yours,
