drainage?

i am wondering how much of a degree if any i will need for the drain in my tank. i have a 210 on one wall(in wall display) and i want to put the fuge and sump on the opposite wall which is 8 feet away. i want to put all plumbing against the wall and i would like to know if any one knows how much of a slant am i going to need to make sure that the tank is going to drain in to the sump properly?

You'll need a minimum of 1/4 inch for every 12 inches. If you have the height to do 1/2 inch per 12 I would do that. The steeper you can make it, the faster it will return to the sump.

2-4 inches... thats good. i think i can do that. i may be able to get to the 3/4 inch mark per 12 so i should be ok... thanks alot!
