has anyone had any luck drilling the bottom of a 20 gallon long tank? are there any downfalls? am i limited to my rock input? reason im asking is because id like to eliminate the use of an overflow box and build a rock structure around it but the only way i can see myself doing it clean looking is by drilling the bottom of the tank. any kind of advice would be really appreciated! thanks!!

great question.. is it an aqueon brand 20l? ive drilled several aqueon brand tanks on the bottom pane with great success, never a 20L though.. i would also avoid doing an overflow box as it will consume way too much room, unless of course you got crafty and made your own overflow out of a pvc pipe cut in half and add some teeth at the top for some surface skimming and just running the returns through the back. or you can order a kit off of gl*******s and drill the back of the tank using one of their kits you will save a lot of room!
