hey, i am setting up my new tank and have two 1/2 bulkhead and using 1/2 loclines, now i wanted to drill a hole to kill the siphon instead to using any checkvalves since they do fail..i am not exactly sure where on the locline to drill, included is a picture(not my tank) but i figured to drill a hole on top? or is there another way? Thanks

as long as that will be below the waterline, then yeah that should work. otherwise, you might want to move it around to the 9 or 10 o'clock position (top being 12 o'clock)

aslo, doesn't have to be a very big hole either...1/8" or less

well i'm using a oceanrunner 2500..630gph at 0, about 5ft of tubing to run..guessing around 400gph or so..

make sure your sump can handle the extra water and not drill them

i would do that first you never know

i thought of that first also, but i know the sump won't handle it..I think i'll just drill one and see..Thanks
