I am upgrading to larger tank. Need To Drill Holes to goto Sump.
This is for a 30 Gal Tank, Sump 20 Gal tank. That will sit behind & below tank.
What size holes & where on the back tank, Not able to drill bottom.
I will be at the meeting tonight.

We would need more information.

1. Is it a glass tank or a acrylic tank. If it's an acrylic tank, then use a hole saw. If it is glass, use a Dremel type tool. Matt (Wombat2) has drilled glass tank for people before - so PM him.

2. If The size of the hole will depends on the size of the bulkhead. When you purchase the bulkhead, it will tell you what size hole you need.

Hole size depends on bulkhead size. Location depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Leaving a hole-diameter's width between the edges of the tank and the hole seems to be a generally accepted recommendation.
