Drilling my Aquapod

I have removed the back wall of my Aquapod 24 and am getting ready to drill it. For those of you that have drilled your or similar tank, what are the recommended sizes? I was thinking a 1" drain and a 1/2" return. Should I go with a 3/4" return instead?

On my 14g biocube, I did a 1" drain and ran my return over the top. If you were going drill a return I would just do a 1/2".

do you plan on having powerheads in your display, if you do, go 1/2", if not i would go 1".
