Drilling overflows in Solana 34g

Just was looking for opinions on drilling a Solana 34G Cube tank.

Mainly on what size and how many?

I was looking at doing a single 3/4" return line.
I want to go 1" for the drains, and I like the Bean Animal Overflow, but 3x 1" drains seems like an awful lot for a 34 gallon tank. + it seems like it would take up a lot of room.

Also i heard its not a good idea to drill the glass if its less than 1/4 inch.
The Solana is 5mm glass which comes out to 0.196 inches which is just under 1/5th of an inch.

Should I be really worried about drilling this thing? Because I REALLY don't want to spend $200 on a tank just to break it before I even get fish in it.

Yea, I drilled mine easily too. Was very scary doing it for the first time though.
