dropped foot

I just got a 3" max in after I drip acclimated it for 2 hrs. I noticed what looks like the foot is in the bag. Is this clam a goner? It hasn't opened but a little. The bags PH was really low 7.8 and my tanks PH is 8.3. When I removed the clam form the bag it was at 8.2. What can I do to save this clam?

it'll probably be fine. Sometimes when clams are stressed, they drop their byssal threads, not their foot. Just give it a good home, and you should see it'll be fine.

It didn't make it through the night. It's shrunken and slightly open. It does have some zoo's on it's shell, so how do I go about removing the clam and saving the zoo's?
