Dryed out Live sand

I have a bucket of what used to be live sand in my 55gal that has dried out completely. Can I added this to my existing sand bed in my 120g without any problems?

I would give it a rinse first.

Yeah I would rinse it out real well. There is still a very good chance it will cause an ammonia spike though. Although rinsing it a great idea, I just dont think you will be able to rid it of all the die off. If you have some extra money for some new sand I would go that route. If not, take caution during this procedure.

I think I will just go and get some more sand. Come to far to go backwards.
