Drying rock to kill bubble algae?

On the tank I just tore down, nearly all of the rock was coated in bubble algae (unfortunately, it was all on the bank, so I didn't notice it until it was to far out of control).

I've got it out of the tank, and plan to dry and scrub it, but I'm not sure how long it'll need to be out to kill all of the bubble on it. Any suggestions to speed it up? I'll let it sit out as long as needed, but I'd love to be able to build my new SPS tower from it sooner too.

Thanks!

i was told the best thing is to soak it in a 5:1 water:vinegar solution for a week or so w/ a powerhead. i did that w/ all the dry rock i got....just in case

i did it on all my marco rock & bulkreefsupply rock. put it all in the bathtub in the extra bathroom. stopped & picked up the vinegar one nite/morn on my way home from a nite out. the look on the girl's face at the register when i bought 5 gallons of vinegar & nothing else at 3am was priceless LOL
