Oh how the answers conflict from site to site so enough. Lets go to the Thread.
Here a run down of where i'm at:

40g tank(tests perfect) with 44lbs live rock and is fallow also has been in hyposalinity the past 2 weeks(refactrometer reads 1.009 and check twice daily) 3 fish just put in QT and started to treat with copper today.

The conflict is "i thought the life cycle of ICK was 14 days" and the treatment time of copper(once the correct level is reached) was also 14 days. Under that logic add fishes back to DT after.

So is this correct????

The life cycle is at least 8 weeks according to Burgess et al. I'd keep the tank fallow for at least 8 weeks, 10 is better.

Any discussion on ich life cycles will usually discuss the "usual" time it takes for the parasite to go through its various stages. But, parasites don't read and not all individuals follow the model. I believe the big variable is how long the mother ich cyst can wait before releasing its offspring. This is vital because ich can only be killed in this free-swimming stage and "close" just doesn't work with parasites. I consider RC's Snorvich a real expert on ich; I'd read his stickies at the top of this forum. Here's his explanation of why the longer period of fallow time is vital: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2041951 Bottom line---9 weeks fallow gets you very close to 100%.
