duncan/hammer placement?

I just got a Duncan today how does the placement look? The distance is just over three inches I do not want the hammer to sting it.

Yes, I know the picture sucks but, I've had a few.

Placement looks fine. Duncan can handle more flow than the hammer. Both will do fine under medium or low light. Duncan can probably handle any amount of light if acclimated.
