Duncan question

I have started up a new tank (60 gallon cube) and have purchased a few corals. I have a duncan and it seems to be doing ok but it only opens fully at night. I have a black box led, the duncan is about mid-height in the tank. The water parameters are fine. Is it to much light on the duncan not making it open fully during the day?

Is your light [emoji362] on at 100%, Duncans like very little light

Yes it is an older LED that I am planning on replacing soon. It does not have an adjustable output. I guess I should move it lower or to a shadier spot.

My duncan did not like high light either so I ended up decreasing the percent as well and it responded well.

You could also move the light up. Sounds like too much light.
