Duncan Trouble

I have a nice size Duncan that was open and flowing in the current really well. I noticed that a dwarf angel I had recently put in the tank was nipping at another coral and that the Duncan has been closed completely during that same period. I was able to pull the angle out and move to another tank but the Duncan has still not opened up and its been 1-2 weeks.

The parameters have been consistent the whole time.
Salinity 35ppm
Alk 10dKh
Cal 475
Phosphate 0
Nitrates barely noticeable on test kit
Radions - settings unchanged

Nothing has changed in the tank during this whole time. The Duncan's may have closed for another reason than the fish it just seems I noticed it at that time. It doesn't appear to be receding but given the time frame I am concerned. I have had this Duncan for a couple years. It sits on the sand bed. 180 gallon tank.

Any thoughts

I have fed the same mix of food for over a year.
Dosing chemicals have remained the same and same brand.
No new fish or corals introduced to the system since that fish.
Lighting program has remained the same for over a year.

maybe the other coral released some toxins when it was getting nipped.. Try some carbon for a few days to see if things perk up.

I don't test Mag. But Cal, Alk, Phos, and Nitr are all stable and tested every two weeks.

Since this is an office tank I just got back tonight and since the lights are off now the duncan is partially out. I guess I could move it into the shade and see if that solves the problem. But it has been under the same light and settings for years so weird that it might have an issue with it now.
