i have a 6 headed Duncanopsammia axifuga and want to frag some heads off it but the stalks are bright green and still alive can i cut through it with out herting the actual polyop?
Duncans are kinda hard to frag since they grow off of each other. some people use a dremel but if you can't do that I would just do it with a screwdriver and hammer if that's possible. My friend did it on my 2.5 polyp frag that were closely together.
Dremel and a diamond wheel works best for Duncans. Dont worry about the green stalk, it should be that way. Cut close to where the colony polyp 'y's, and you should be fine. Good luck.
Her site is jendub.com, than click on the blog section & it is under the July archives. If you can't find it there here is a link to her other blog, the step by step for the duncan fragging is half way down the page. http://blogs.frags.org/member.php?uid=4043
